The Health Service provides a wide range of primary care, acute and specialist services.Our staff are a part of the community we serve, and we strongly believe that health outcomes are enhanced by involving our community in the planning and evaluation of local health services.About your opportunity:In this position you will:Implement individual assessment, identification and management of co-morbid chronic illness, mental health conditions, musculoskeletal or neurological impairment which might impact exercise physiology service provision, treatment, follow-up, multidisciplinary consultation, liaison with referring agents, discharge planning and evaluation of care using appropriate outcome and data measurement systems.Deliver Exercise Physiology services and health promotion education initiatives in collaboration with the Adult Acute Mental Health Inpatient Team to individual clients across a variety of health care settings.Collaborate effectively with clients, carers, families, colleagues, service providers and organisations using high level communication, negotiation and conflict management skills to optimise the quality of client care.Accurately and concisely document care and precisely record data on service activity and outcomes in accordance with legal, service and professional requirements.As a Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service employee, not only will you receive competitive remuneration, you will also have access to:Salary packagingAnnual incremental increasesCareer training and developmentWellness programsVaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) evidence as required for your employment in accordance with legislation/government policy and Directives.For more information about this role, please refer to the attached Role Description.
