This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, and Fixed Term Part Time, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. We currently have a permanent 1.0 FTE position available and 1 Fixed Term Contract within our Child and Adolescent Forensic Service (CAFS).
Job share arrangements will be considered.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies arise until 31 December 2025.

The State Forensic Mental Health Service (SFMHS) is seeking passionate and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialists to work in our Child and Adolescent Services. About our services Our programs and services aim to provide comprehensive mental health and/or neurodevelopmental support to children and young people (from 10 to 18 years old) currently engaged in, or at risk of offending, who present in community and custodial settings.
The role As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will work within a multidisciplinary team providing expert mental health care in the custodial or community setting for children and their families.
Responsibilities include:
Responding to concerns regarding a young person's mental health and general functioning in the context of their offending behaviour.Working directly with young people and their families to develop goals focused on reducing recidivism and improving mental health.Offering specialist assessment, case management, and treatment planning.Providing evidence-based treatment tailored to the young person's needs.Contributing to the regular monitoring and evaluation of the service.Developing a young person's connection to family, culture, and community.Providing education and training to families and staff.Extensive interagency collaboration.What we offer In addition to a great salary, our employees enjoy an amazing range of benefits:
