Role: Scrum Master Location: Sydney Key responsibilities of this newly created role include: Lead the scrum team as a servant leader.Craft a servant leadership style to be an example for all employees and aspiring leaders.Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers.Guide the team on how to get the most out of self-organization.Develop with the team a sustainable pace of continuous improvement.Help the team articulate, radiate, and actively remove impediments.Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on problem-solving.Create a positive team environment that empowers the team through the facilitation of discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution.Protect the team from both internal and external factors that may impact the team's performance.Actively work to develop new ways of communication, information radiation, and transparency for the team and their stakeholders.Partner with the Product Owner to ensure a strong vision, backlog development, and cadence.Facilitate Agile ceremonies (incl.
sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives), ensuring that activities are time-boxed and artifacts are visible to the team (through visualization techniques and/or tools).Radiate sprint team metrics that help the team see how they are doing.Work with other stakeholders to validate and align dependencies.Work closely with the Agile coach to grow the team (if applicable).Understand other processes and methodologies other than Agile and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise.Understand fundamentals of software development processes and procedures.Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team.Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics.Understand backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition.Familiarity with common Agile practices and enhanced development practices.Demonstrate strong behavior and leadership that aligns with the program's leadership.Technical skills We welcome applications from all members of society irrespective of age, sex, disability, sexual orientation, race, religion, or belief.
