ResponsibilitiesConduct health economic evaluations of emerging interventions for chronic diseases, focusing on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic kidney disease, and diabetes.Contribute to development of simulation models using cutting-edge methodologies.Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team consisting of leading health economists, clinicians, biostatisticians, and health informaticians.About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated researcher with a strong interest in health economics of chronic disease.
The ideal candidate will be eager to drive meaningful change through extensive collaborations and the use of cutting-edge simulation modeling techniques.
The successful candidate is expected to support, develop, and manage a program of health economics under the direction of A/Prof An Duy Tran, and provide support to health economics research related to clinical studies and grant application development.
Your responsibilities will include: Contributing to a range of health economic projects, including economic evaluations alongside clinical trials and simulation modelling.Providing support for the development of grant applications.Producing and assisting with preparing high-quality research outputs for publication in peer-reviewed journals.Disseminating research findings through scientific meetings.Who We Are Looking ForWe are seeking individuals with exceptional quantitative skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a self-driven commitment to conducting impactful research in health economics and simulation modelling.
You will also have: A master's degree or higher in Health Economics, Public Health, Health Services Research, or a closely related field (Level A).A PhD degree in Health Economics, Public Health, Health Services Research, or a closely related field (Level B).Proven experience in conducting health economic evaluations and proficiency in analysing large, complex datasets.Demonstrated involvement in writing peer-reviewed articles, delivering conference presentations, and developing research grant proposals.Additional Information This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check.
