The OpportunityWe're looking for a seasoned HV Commissioning Lead to join our dedicated team, working on mining projects across Western Australia.
This role operates on a 2/1 FIFO roster and offers permanent opportunities.
In this pivotal role, you'll lead a team of skilled HV Supervisors, Technicians, and Protection Engineers, overseeing critical commissioning activities, including:
Substation commissioning, including Site Acceptance TestingGIS switchgear commissioningVLF, Tan Delta, and partial discharge testing of HV cablesCommissioning transmission (220kV) and distribution (11, 22, 33kV) linesHV motor and drive commissioningPrimary equipment testing (circuit breakers, CTs, VTs, transformers, HV/LV switchboards, busbars)Relay and secondary injection testing across various relay manufacturers/modelsAbout YouWe're seeking professionals who bring expertise and leadership to the table.
To excel in this role, you'll need:
WA A-Grade Electrical License or Electrical Engineering DegreeHigh Voltage Switching CertificateCurrent CPR/LVR and First Aid CertificateValid Driver's License (Minimum C Class)Demonstrated experience leading HV commissioning teamsWhat We Offer FIFO from any major city (Perth preferred)2w/1w RosterCompetitive remuneration aligned with your skills and experienceIf successful, you will find yourself working within an experienced, energetic, and collaborative team environment, with a great focus on stability and career development.
