Senior Environmental Planner (Brisbane or Toowoomba)Range Environmental Consultants provides services to various industry sectors including resources, agriculture, construction, transport, energy, infrastructure, and urban development.

Our 16 team members occupy offices in Toowoomba and Brisbane but service clients throughout Queensland, northern New South Wales, and other parts of Australia.

About the role We are currently seeking applications for a Senior Environmental Planner on a full-time (preferably) or part-time basis.
This role would suit an existing senior-level environmental planner or a mid-career professional looking to advance their career.
The role can be based in our Toowoomba or Brisbane offices.
The role will require the successful applicant to:
Have a strong working knowledge of Queensland's regulatory frameworks and relevant Commonwealth legislation, with experience in other states highly regarded.Interpret and communicate ecological data and concepts to clients, regulators, and other stakeholders.Provide specialist environmental planning advice associated with development assessment, pre-lodgement enquiries & regulatory compliance.Lead projects to meet client deadlines and delegate tasks, ensuring those tasks are completed to a high standard.Mentor early career professionals and help them improve in efficiencies and technical skill over time.Undertake project management tasks from conception through to completion including quoting, time tracking, billing, and client correspondence.Foster existing client relationships and establish new clients with first-class service.Undertake occasional fieldwork (meetings, site visits, etc.
).Skills and experience The successful applicant will require the following:
A relevant degree and qualifications in planning, environmental science, natural resources, or a related discipline.Demonstrated technical skills and experience commensurate with the role.Excellent communication skills, including the ability to liaise with clients, regulators, staff, contractors, and sub-consultants.Excellent written communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, and strong analytical and data interpretation skills.Ability to work as part of a team and contribute ideas and innovative approaches to project challenges.A current Australian driver's licence is mandatory.If this opportunity is of interest to you, forward your CV (maximum 3 pages) and a 1-page cover letter.
