Southern Adelaide Local Health Network – Flinders Medical Centre – Rehabilitation, Aged and Palliative Care Salary $58,709.00 - $63,154.00 (Pro Rata) AHA2 | Part Time 30 hours per week – Contract until May 2025 Join our Rehabilitation in the Home team as an Allied Health Assistant today
Rehabilitation in the Home will operate 7 days per week and will have a strong focus on innovation and digital strategies, with Telehealth and home-based monitoring integrated into the provision of care.
The Allied Health Assistant participates within the Home Rehabilitation Team and may assist with tasks including installing prescribed equipment, assistance with self-care tasks and carrying out specified components of rehabilitation programs such as exercise, mobility activities or therapeutic groups.
About the role: Reporting to the Manager Home, Outreach and Telerehabilitation as the Allied Health Assistant duties for the role may involve:
Providing specific therapeutic interventions under direction of AHP staff Monitoring patient response to therapies and reporting to the supervising AHP Accurately maintain documentation under the explicit direction of the supervising AHP Accurately maintain therapy related databases Assisting patients and carers to use telehealth equipment About you: Demonstrated aptitude for work in a healthcare environment Ability to work in a physically demanding environment to assist patient therapy and / or handling of patient related equipment and devices Must possess or be undertaking a Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.
