About the role:
This is a great opportunity for a Senior Ecologist to join the high-performing and collaborative Environment and Heritage Services team.
You will be responsible for providing ecological advice and conducting biodiversity assessments to support the approval of infrastructure projects along the asset value chain.
Your subject matter expertise will also support strategic and operational business needs.
About you: At least 7 years' relevant industry experience, with proven experience in biodiversity assessments for infrastructure projectsTertiary qualifications in ecology, zoology, botany (or other relevant discipline)Applied knowledge of relevant biodiversity legislation, policy and industry standardsTechnical competency in biodiversity field assessment, flora and fauna identification, vegetation mapping and threatened species assessmentsUnderstanding and experience with major water utility or similarDemonstrated ability to foster teamwork and develop effective working relationships with stakeholdersHighly developed oral and written communication and negotiation skills.Why our team like working at Sydney Water: Huge multi-billion-dollar program of work which shapes Australia's busiest and largest cityFlexible working arrangements, to give you fair work/life balanceDive into Our Great Benefits: Continuous Professional Growth: We will invest in your career with leadership and development programs to propel your success.
