We have a highly engaged, diverse, and collaborative workforce that is unified by our goal to help people live healthy and fulfilled lives.About the role:If you have experience working with vulnerable people and individuals who require support for complex discharge planning, skills in assessing and responding to Family Violence and Child Safety risk, or knowledge about how to navigate NDIS and Aged Care systems, then we want you to join our teamAs a Grade 2 Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing clinical social work services to inpatients across one or more of our Austin Health sites. A regular day will see you work clinically with patients, attend family meetings and non-clinical meetings, and undertake other duties that support the social work department and its operations.Key responsibilities will see you:Apply your social work knowledge and skills to assess, treat, and plan the discharge of patientsProvide counselling to patients and familiesSupervise Grade 1 social workers and social work studentsParticipate in quality improvement, service improvement, and/or researchAbout you:You will be someone who has excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to excellence in patient care.
