Job Title: Mental Health Professionals (Psychological Therapies) Stepped Care Model – Mackay, Queensland.
Hours: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time.
Practice Information: This organisation provides allied health, home and community support, mental health and wellbeing services throughout rural, regional and remote Queensland.
Their goal is to assist in improving the physical, social and emotional wellbeing of the clients they work with.
The team aims to ensure patients, their loved ones, and carers receive the help they need.
This multidisciplinary organisation serves over 50 communities across remote, rural, and regional areas of Australia, including Townsville, Mount Isa, Longreach, Cairns, Mackay, Normanton, Doomadgee, Cloncurry, and Mornington Island.
Position Details: This organisation is part of a Regional Provider Network that is taking a new approach to delivering client-centred mental health services.
They seek mental health professionals who are willing to work as part of this system and who are committed to key guiding principles: Support starts at the time of asking Every interaction builds confidence in the system Overwhelmingly compassionate Outcomes that really matter The system stretches, not the person These principles provide the foundation for the system and guide service delivery.
The organisation is currently recruiting for various roles based in either Cairns, Townsville, or Mackay to join our team as Mental Health Professionals.
Roles include: Psychologists (various levels) Accredited Mental Health Nurses Mental Health Occupational Therapists Accredited Mental Health Social Workers Primary to this role is delivering quality client-centred mental health assessment, treatment, and/or case coordination services in an integrated, stepped care model of service delivery.
This is a voluntary service for clients of all levels of complexity, across the lifespan.
Qualifications & Experience: The organisation is seeking team members who are: Dedicated individuals who are culturally sensitive and adaptable, with the ability to work both independently and autonomously.
Possess high-level communication and connection skills to effectively establish and support respectful and trusting relationships with individuals, their teams, partners, and the community at large.
Genuinely committed to a new way of working in the mental health sector.
Suitable professions include: Registered Psychologists (Provisional Psychologists are welcome and encouraged to apply) Mental Health Accredited Nurses (Mental Health Nurses eligible or working towards ACMHN will also be considered) Mental Health Accredited Social Workers Mental Health Occupational Therapists Please note: You will need a current, unrestricted 'C' class Australian Driver's Licence; all final applicants will be asked to consent to a criminal record check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Blue card (if not AHPRA registered); you must have the right to live and work in Australia; and First Nations Australians are strongly encouraged to apply.
Salary Information: On offer is a starting salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus: Up to $15,900 salary sacrificing Annual leave loading of 17.5% 5 weeks of annual leave Relocation assistance About Mackay: Mackay is known for its tropical location with warm summers and mild winters, more than 30 beaches, and a cool rainforest hinterland.
