Box Sorter

The responsibilities of the job of sorting boxes using a scanner will typically include:
Operating a scanner to read barcodes on boxes and sorting them according to their destination.Operating a forklift to move the pallets to their designated location.Keeping track of inventory and ensuring accuracy in scanning and sorting of boxes.Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.Following safety procedures and guidelines when operating machinery and equipment.Work timing can change depending on the truck arrival.
The required work experience for this job can vary, but typically, candidates with prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment will be preferred.
Experience in operating a forklift and using a scanner will be an added advantage.
In terms of skills, the candidate should have:
Proficiency in using a scanner to read barcodes and sort boxes.Knowledge and experience in operating a forklift, with a valid forklift license.Basic computer skills to input and retrieve information from a database or inventory management system.Attention to detail and ability to work with speed and accuracy.Good communication skills to coordinate with other team members and supervisors.Lastly, the candidate must be willing to work flexible hours and be available to work when called upon.
NOTE: You will be working in a coolroom.

Pay: $27.00 – $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
