Ventia, in partnership with the Australian Defence Force, are seeking a qualified Fitter Armourer to receive full training and join the team at Robertson Barracks, NT, maintaining weapons systems and general Engineering.
In this role you will use your highly detailed workmanship to inspect, repair, and recondition military hardware. As a qualified fitter and armourer, it will be your responsibility to provide direct embedded support and teamwork with defence and defence training activities to ensure hardware is functional and training objectives are achieved.
Finish at 2:00PM On FridaysFortnightly Allowance: $868.32Training & Upskilling ProvidedTools Of Trade ProvidedOvertime Offered When AvailableFlexible Work Arrangements – Start & Finish TimesPPE & Uniforms ProvidedBecome A Qualified Defence Fitter ArmourKey Responsibilities: Perform maintenance, servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance on military hardware and defence armamentsSafely operate machinery to repair, manufacture or modify required partsCertify plant and equipment as serviceable and fit for purposeKey Skills & Attributes Include: Possess a Trade Certificate III Engineering Mechanical (Fitter & Turner) or Certificate III Engineering Mechanic (General Fitter)Excellent attention to detail, patience, and teamworkMust have valid Driver's LicenseMR or HR License - DesirablePhysically fit and enjoy hands-on workYou must be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security ClearanceApply your precision trade skills in the pursuit of quality.
