We are looking for a new Finance Business Partner to join us at DON
About Us GWF is one of Australia and New Zealand's largest food manufacturers employing around 6,000 people across 60 sites.
GWF's product range is diverse and includes leading brands of breads, baked goods, smallgoods, flour, milled products and animal feed.
GWF's business units include: Tip Top, Don, Yumi's, MAURI anz and Jasol.
DON's heritage goes back to the late 1800's and we have always been passionate about meat and making meat even better- transforming it into delicious tasting Ham, Bacon, Salami, Smallgoods and Fresh Pork.
Our heritage is expertise in meat, and we have taken great pride in our skills, techniques and our brands from the very beginning.
Our journey has been one from small family businesses to large ones and now as part of the GWF family, which is still largely owned by the Weston family.
About the role Based in Castlemaine, the Finance Business Partner will partner with our Ham and Bacon manufacturing teams putting together appropriate financial budgets & forecasts, setting standard costs, measuring performance against standards & identifying cost saving opportunities.
You will also manage and mentor a Cost Accountant, providing direction, training, guidance and support as required.
Responsibilities Provide effective Business Partnering to the Ham & Bacon teams Identify, quantify and drive cost reduction/business value Monitor internal controls processes Provide accurate product costing scenarios and opportunities for value creation Preparation and communication of weekly performance reporting Support the preparation of Capital Expenditure requests Ensure all reporting, monthly forecasts (Integrated Business Plans), quarterly forecasts and budgets are accurate and delivered on time Benefits Flexible working DON Caring Everyday – 2 volunteer days per year Purchase Additional Leave Discounted products Global Career Opportunities Study Assistance Program About you Accounting or Commerce Degree with Accounting major required CA or CPA desirable Demonstrated effectiveness in team engagement Effective Stakeholder engagement and influencing skills Proven experience identifying and deploying process improvements Ability to identify true requirements & importance of each stage of reporting Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to build productive relationships and influence key stakeholders Applications To apply for this opportunity please submit your resume and cover letter by clicking on the 'Apply' button.
