This role reports to the Vice President & General Manager.
The Senior Engineering Director will lead the engineering team responsible for hardware and software design, development, and lifecycle maintenance of the product line while providing Engineering support to the shop, commissioning, and Field Service for the Wabtec product line.

Where is the position located?
This is a full-time role based in Eagle Farm (QLD).
What will your typical day look like?
Work with business leadership team, Product Management, and Commercial teams to establish and execute a long-term technical strategy to meet customer needs and business objectives.
Design and lead organization that balances low cost country support with deep industry / customer interaction to deliver quality solutions at a competitive engineering cost Lead Engineering team to deliver new product and requisition designs on time.
Assure hardware and software design strategy exploits leading technologies for function, quality and cost Lead team to address any shop or field issues.
Develop and strengthen the team's engineering skillsets and ensure high performance.
Develop engineering budget and operate within budget.
Develop a pipeline of engineering talent and engineering leadership What do we want to know about you?
BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field Experience leading and working with global teams.
Minimum 3 yrs experience in leading an engineering team.
Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with embedded firmware, controls, hardware, and software.
