This role is based in Northgate, Brisbane reporting to Wagners Steel Manager.
The successful candidate would directly lead the Northgate Steel business with a strong focus on sales, client service, staff engagement, and financials, while maintaining oversight on operations, safety, environment, quality, and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will maximise value, efficiency and effectiveness ensuring the following key tasks are carried out:
Evaluating current and future business opportunities to grow the businessEstablishing and delivering budgeted ESG sales revenue targetsContinuously monitoring, measuring and reviewing revenue indicatorsBuilding and establishing relations with internal and external stakeholdersWorking with Operations and Production Managers managing costs and productivityMeeting company processes, procedures and initiativesLead, manage and monitor employees fostering teamwork and communicating business objectivesProduction planning to ensure quality, efficiency, and machine utilisationManage raw materials procurement and inventory including managing supplier relationshipsManagement of maintenance and preventative maintenance scheduleWorking to QA & OH&S requirements, developing, reviewing, and enforcing safe work practices.Skills & Experience Experience in reinforcing steel, concreting or the construction industry5 years in a similar role with proven leadership experienceNegotiation experience to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes and high levels of service to clientsAbility to build rapport and motivate your team of direct reportsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbout Us Wagners is an award winning and diversified Australian Construction materials and services provider and innovator of Construction Materials and New Generation Building Materials.
