drive from the local town (of over 7,000+ people)A range of schools, sports & recreational facilities, health care facilitiesBe welcomed into a cultural, family-friendly and close-knit communityRelocation costs and transfer housing provided (for those looking to join the mine permanently)The RoleReporting to the maintenance supervisor on your crew, you will enjoy working in a close-knit team of mobile plant maintenance tradespeople and be responsible for the following duties:Workshop - servicing, preventative maintenance, scheduled maintenance, major component change-outs, general repairs, fault finding & diagnosticsField (when competent) - breakdowns, fault finding, diagnosticsMachinery - UG mining trucks, boggers, drills, IT's, charge-up equipment, spraymechsThe Roster7 days on, 7 days offMostly day shifts with a swing of nights every 3rd swingWednesday to Tuesday roster pattern12-hour shiftsYour ValueYou will come from a trade qualification in diesel mechanics or light vehicle mechanics, backed with the following skills and attributes:All-round abilities in the workshop working on diesel machineryHeavy vehicles, ag/forestry or earthmoving machinery experience (essential)A keen eagerness to learn and forward your skills in the mining sectorAbility to work in a team and autonomouslyAn excellent attitude towards workSafety first mentalityUG hard rock mining experience is highly regarded (not essential)The OpportunityThis is a great opportunity for someone with diesel qualifications or 2-3 years post-trade experience working on diesel equipment (coming from a light vehicle background).
