About the roleThe engine room of our business, our Store Customer Platforms keeps us moving and delivering our services to all Australians.
We empower and support our retail teams across the country, helping them deliver great experiences for our customers every single day.
The Store Customer Platform is accountable for all customer facing technology solutions within Coles Supermarkets.
Primary systems in the Platform's portfolio include the Point of Sale, Assisted Checkout, In Store Scales and Ticketing.
We are seeking an experienced Technical Analyst to join our dynamic and innovative team.
You will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our organization, ensuring the efficient operation of our systems and applications.
You will play a crucial role in our ticketing uplift project and will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable, secure, and highly available solutions that meet the needs of our organization and our clients and are future proof.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyse, troubleshoot, and optimize our IT operations and provide recommendations for improvements.
As a Technical Analyst, you will be utilizing your technical skills & experience in both SQL and development (C#, PowerShell, etc.)
to drive incident rates down and automate/self-heal issues.
A key requirement in this role is strong knowledge of MySQL, MSSQL, Visual Basics and PowerShell scripting, as well as experience with C#.
About you and your skillsExperience providing technical guidance to end-users and stakeholders, resolving complex issues related to systems, applications, and databases.Analysed and troubleshooted technical problems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.Experience developing and maintaining SQL queries, complex stored procedures, and scripts for data retrieval, manipulation, and reporting.Performed system monitoring and performance tuning, ensuring optimal system performance and availability.Conducted system analysis and recommended improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and security.Experience developing automation & self-healing tools/applications to drive MTTR down, as well as self-healing production issues.IT Retail industry experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Technical Analyst or similar.Strong expertise in SQL database management, including querying, optimization, and performance tuning.We need a good communicator who is proactive, independent, motivated and keen to contribute to the team's growth.
