Our Water team promotes holistic, sustainable water resource management for governments, investors, developers, manufacturers, utilities, and corporations, helping with network maintenance and development, risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, cost reduction, and future-ready strategies.
This role will enhance your capabilities and the reputation of WSP's Water Utilities team.
You will join a multidisciplinary team that has been successfully delivering key projects in the QLD water sector and collaborate with talented professionals nationwide (Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, and Gold Coast).
Working on iconic projects, you will drive future-ready outcomes that will benefit clients and communities.
We are involved in some of Australia's industry leading water programs partnering with key clients including:
Delivering 4 Customers, Sydney Water Logan Water Partnership, Logan City Council SA Water Engineering Panel Wastewater Regional Program and Water Southern Zones Programs, Urban Utilities Capital Delivery Office (CDO), TasWater Gold Coast PSP We are seeking a Civil Technologist or Senior Civil Technologist to join our Brisbane office, bringing invaluable skills to deliver a number of local water program of works.
What You'll Do Represent the company to a professional standard at all times and collaborate across the business on an ongoing basis.
Coordinate design and documentation with other engineering and drafting disciplines and team members.
Carry out assigned project and 2D and 3D CAD design work as part of a national team, adhering to technical and commercial standards.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and commit to a team approach and outcomes.
Support other sectors of the business on project activities ranging from feasibility to detailed CAD design.
Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of CAD technical standards and workflows.
About You Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Experience in civil design and drafting of roads, water management infrastructure, utilities, and other civil engineering infrastructure.
Practical experience with AutoCAD (essential) and 12d (essential).
Previous experience in water, mining, or industrial infrastructure is highly regarded but not essential.
Familiarity with point cloud survey is highly regarded.
