Company
Our client is a leading hedge fund that utilizes technology to trade on all markets around the globe.
They are establishing a new Sydney office as an APAC LOW LATENCY hub and home to a boutique development team.

Team
It will be one of the most technically advanced software engineering teams in APAC as they analyze, build, execute, and create robust elegant solutions to capture trading wins.
This is an environment where speed is king and high quality is rewarded with exceptional compensation.

Role
The main trading and connectivity systems will be built with C++.
You will be empowered to work in an extremely collaborative environment where ideas are shared, nourished, and enhanced.
You will quickly be given responsibility and authority to drive changes with your development as you operate with no red tape to slow you down.

Requirements:
• Complex, Multithreaded Development Experience (C++ ver.
17+).
• Strong OO design principles and design patterns (e.g.
S.O.L.I.D).
• Experience with low-level frameworks (e.g.
Valgrind).
• Experience within latency-dependent environments (Microsecond µs).
• Automation, CI/CD: Python, Jenkins, Atlassian stack et al.
• Passion for technology innovation and engineering best practices.
• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in computer science or mathematics.
• A history of good tenure in your career (4+ years average).
• Experience with high-performance trading systems (ideal, not mandatory).

This role would be suited for people with a background in software engineering, development, quantitative development, algo trading, or kernel development.
