Specialised Carer - Dementia Care | Caulfield Village | CasualAged & Disability Support (Community Services & Development)
HammondCare Caulfield is currently looking for Perm Part Time & Casual Carers to join our team.Our Cottage style homes provide low and high care for residents with Dementia.
You will be running the cottage like a home, which will include:
Domestic assistance - cooking, cleaning and laundryEngaging with the residents, ensuring they are involved in the activities they WANT to doRecognise, report and respond appropriately to changes in the conditions of residents within your skills and competenciesAll new staff will complete an onsite orientation with a Workplace Trainer, have buddy shifts and be supported by experienced Registered Nurses and Managers on site.
To be successful in this role, you will:Have a genuine passion for serving elderly people & want to make a difference in their livesBe flexible and able to commit to a range of shifts including nights & weekendsValue teamwork but also be able to work independently and show initiativeHave knowledge & experience of people living with Dementia & their needsApplicants with Cert III or Cert IV in Aged Care would be viewed favourablyWhat are the benefits of working with HammondCare (not applicable to Casual employees)?You may have the opportunity to study a Cert III in Individual Support (Ageing) whilst working.
