Senior or Associate Environmental Scientist | Contaminated LandLocation: Melbourne – Full Time
Do you have…• 8 – 10 years (experienced Senior) or 10 – 12 years (Associate) of broad experience in contaminated land, soil science, contaminant hydrogeology and/or related field.
• A strong history and enthusiasm for leveraging innovative data analytics, technology and/or sustainable practices to address complex contamination and environmental challenges.
• A proactive approach to initiating and leading client engagement partnered with excellent communication skills.
• Strong project delivery capability, with experience leading and mentoring junior staff.
• Excellent technical report and proposal writing skills, as well as a high level of proficiency with ESdat.
• Proven expertise in a broad range of assessments and remediation with a strong understanding of National and Victorian legislation.
• Significant experience in preparing conceptual site models and implementing complex PFAS investigation and/or remediation projects.
• Certified Environmental Practitioner or Certified Professional Soil Scientist (CPSS) planned or underway.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in the area of environmental science, engineering, earth science or a related field.
Postgraduate degree is highly desirable.
• A proven history of effectively engaging with external stakeholders, such as professional associations, regulators, and community groups, is highly desirable.
• Experience or a desire to support EPA appointed Auditors and Risk Assessors on expert witness related services preferred.
• Full legal working rights within Australia and C class License required.
