Background: Capability Clinical Services provides professional, client-centred, trauma-informed, and compassionate support for children, young people, and adults.
Capability Clinical Services offers a range of clinical services including Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), face-to-face and telehealth counselling, biopsychosocial assessments, carer support, and training in trauma-informed care for care teams.
Capability Clinical Services is part of the larger Capability Support team.
Capability Support was established in 2023 with the belief that we can do better for the community by providing personalised, flexible, professional, and easy-to-access supports.
Capability's vision is to provide personalised, flexible, and professional supports through the provision of More Support, Less Admin and delivering high-quality, customised, and easy-to-access supports.
The Role: We are looking for mental health clinicians (psychologists, provisional psychologists, social workers, and counsellors) and Behaviour Support Practitioners (both registered with NDIS and not registered) who are dedicated to making a difference in people's lives through the provision of Behaviour Support and direct Clinical Services.
Working under our Director of Clinical Services and within the Capability Clinical Governance Framework, you will deliver personalised, flexible, and professional clinical supports to children, young people, adults, families, and care teams, as well as support the development of Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
You will operate in a diverse environment, visiting people at their homes, working in schools, or working out of our offices in Canberra City with welcoming clinical rooms set up to provide direct therapy to clients.
The Benefits: Competitive pay ratesAn autonomous and flexible roleOngoing certified training and developmentTraining to hold relevant job qualificationsPaid internal and external clinical supervisionEmployee Assistance ProgramProfessional and career developmentAn organisation with an insatiable drive to do better and continuously improveAccess to in-house supervision for 4+2 and 5+1 provisional psychologistsThe Responsibilities: Provide direct, trauma-informed clinical support to children, young people, families, and adultsComplete comprehensive clinical notes and documentation for clients receiving clinical servicesLead, hold, and participate in reflective practicesIdentify and develop support strategies for clients to increase their capabilities and improve their quality of lifeComplete comprehensive Functional Behavioural Assessments and develop high-quality Behaviour Support PlansEnsure all records are kept to a high standard and uphold client confidentialityEnsure supports are delivered in accordance with the Capability Clinical FrameworkResponsible for reduction and elimination of Restrictive Practices, as well as the approval of Positive Behaviour Support Plans through the ACT Senior PractitionerWork with the Director of Clinical Services to continue to develop quality-based and clinical-based governance frameworks and principlesThe Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Counselling, or PsychologyRegistration with AHPRA or relevant professional bodyDemonstrated experience working in a clinical environment, preferably with direct clinical experience and/or NDIS Behaviour Support experienceExperience in functional behavioural assessment and behaviour support plan developmentCurrent NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner registration (or willingness to undertake one)Valid Working with Vulnerable People Registration (or ability to obtain one) with NDIS Screening (or ability to obtain)Valid police check (or willingness to undertake one)Eligible to undertake a CYPS Suitability ClearanceDriver's license / comprehensive car insurance / available & registered vehicle #J-18808-Ljbffr
