We have an opportunity for a Site Manager based in either Melbourne or Sydney.Work across industries and client groups, at the front line of Daifuku, managing and supervising site activities and installation of projects, supporting the delivery of Daifuku Oceania projects.About the roleAs a Global Leader in material handling automation, Daifuku Oceania continues to experience rapid growth in delivery of Airports, Warehouse and Courier logistics projects. As a result, we are seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Site Manager. This role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney.As the allocated Site Manager for a particular project, you will have oversight in all areas which will include safety, quality, resources, risks and costs and ensure these aspects are managed such that projects are installed and commissioned on schedule, on budget and safely.The TeamYou will work in a cross-team environment, collaborating with the Project Managers, Project Engineers, Health and Safety Advisors and other Daifuku team members.About YouYou will understand that successful project delivery is based on good project discipline and excellent leadership and relationship skills to get the best out of installation teams.Key Responsibilities include:Develop and maintain a Workplace Health and Safety Plan and Project Risk RegistersEstablish clear budgets for each site sub-contractor with the Project ManagerProvide clear direction to site supervisors on siteComplete site investigations and compilation of site design dataSupervision of subcontractors ensuring adherence with contract requirementsManagement of site QA ensuring installation testing is thoroughly carried out, recorded and signed offWorking with the Project Manager on contract variation orders and scope change requestsSite design including co-ordination of services, establishment of cable routes, positioning of equipmentOnsite commissioning and troubleshootingRepresent Daifuku Oceania at site meetings, be the Daifuku face and co-ordinate meetingsAssist with delivery of the project to client operations and maintenance staff including staff trainingAssist with preparation of design documentation and drawingsAssist with procurementTo be successful in this position you will be able to demonstrate:Trade or Tertiary qualifications in either Electrical or Mechanical field along with experienceExperience in detailed electrical and control system operation.Previous experience in management role including staff, cost control and budget management.Qualifications in Safety such as Certificate IVStrong people management and delegation skills along with the ability to manage resources across several areas of activity.Sound knowledge of Project Management principles and techniques as they apply to installation activities.High degree of competence in reading and understanding detailed design documentation.Customer centric.About our CompanyDaifuku Oceania is a subsidiary of Daifuku, a global business with over 13,000 individuals worldwide, delivering material handling automation, self-service technology and intralogistics solutions to our partners worldwide.We are proud of our reputation as leaders within the aviation and logistics sectors, highly regarded for our technology and digital innovation.Daifuku Oceania was founded in 1993 and developed into a global leader in material handling solutions driven by our vision and, most certainly, the exceptional people we employ.Daifuku Oceania has offices in New Zealand, Australia and Malaysia, employing 500 dedicated team members to provide our clients end-to-end solutions and customer care globally.Our Company ValuesThink Safe Act Safe Home SafeOutstanding Service and Value to the CustomerRespect and Trust for Each OtherTo Look Beyond the ObviousHaving funIf you're looking to be valued for your expertise and grow your career in a global company offering world-class opportunities, please applyPlease note we aim to review applications as they are received - therefore encourage you to apply at your earliest opportunity.
