This major project will see the construction of 8km of single lane highway with approximately 2.5 km of bridge structures and upgrades to local intersections.
This diverse and challenging project has a 2-year construction program ensuring longevity in your role and presenting opportunities to grow within the business.Opportunity:We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer, with good communication and problem-solving abilities, who is self-motivated and can work as part of a team.Key Responsibilities:Manage daily construction activities to ensure project milestones are achieved.Monitor and report the performance of the workforce and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to technical, program, quality, environmental, safety, and commercial standards.Attend design reviews and provide input on constructability, temporary works designs, safety, site access, and related issues.Create, monitor, and control project schedules.Plan and implement site establishment activities, ensuring compliance with site-specific and contract requirements, including location, fencing, signage, environmental, and traffic conditions.Identify, analyze, and mitigate potential risks, maintaining a risk register and initiating corrective actions as needed.Manage changes to scope, deliverables, schedules, and budgets.Analyze variances, trends, risks, and opportunities, and highlight significant operational performance issues to management.Integrate environmental considerations into all construction activities.Required Skills and Competencies:Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field with relevant professional certifications.Prior experience working on major infrastructure projects.Proven experience in on-site engineering roles, demonstrating a strong understanding of construction processes.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in dynamic construction environments.Effective communication skills to liaise with project stakeholders, teams, and regulatory authorities.If you feel like you meet some or all of the above - Apply NowWe are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where all voices are heard and valued.
