HDU / PICU / NICU skills would therefore be considered highly desirable.The department consists of 6 consultants with a strong commitment to teaching, with 6 Registrar positions, the majority of which are filled by Advanced Trainees. Services include a 30-bed dedicated paediatric ward, an 8-bed neonatal unit with ventilation and Nitric Oxide facilities and access to ICU beds as required. Ambulatory care, with outpatient and outreach care are core components of our service.The generous remuneration package for this position includes the following :Professional Training Allowance: $21,603 - $27,967Second Roster Allowance: $41,433Private Practice Allowance - Option B: $103,538 – $145,005Hospital Salary packaging: $9,0106 weeks recreation leave.Professional Development leave: 2 weeksSuperannuationLeave LoadingRelocation and Repatriation Reimbursement.The Hospital :The Hospital is a 189 bed Hospital; it is the only acute secondary care service for 1500km in any direction and more than 60% of admissions are Aboriginal people often from remote communities.The hospital provides the following services: Day Procedure, Emergency, Intensive Care and High Dependency, Maternity, Medical, Outpatients, Paediatric, Special Care Nursery, Surgical and Mental Health, plus a range of clinical support services.It is also accredited with the Australian Council of Healthcare Standards and has links to many external research organisations.The Location :An intriguing place that hosts a jam-packed calendar of festivals, celebrations, and quirky events throughout the year. Hike, climb and cycle your way through the chasms, craters and sacred Aboriginal sites of the MacDonnell Ranges, or four-wheel drive the expansive Simpson Desert in the southeast.It is multicultural with well-established schools and amenities. Bicycle-friendly - rarely taking more than 10 minutes to get anywhere.
