The TeamSince we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn't work together.So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions – to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we've embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth, enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper, increase order sizes, and compete at a larger scale.Today, we are a partner to sellers of all sizes – large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations, sellers just starting, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We're building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.The RoleSquare is looking for an Account Executive with a positive and winning attitude to join our Sales Team. Your entrepreneurial spirit and passion for problem-solving will help you find opportunities for Square to help merchants grow. In addition, your extraordinary communication skills help you connect with customers by email and phone - quickly establishing trust and relationships, and building value throughout the sales process.You WillLead the charge in introducing Square to SMB merchants in AustraliaOversee the sales cycle from prospect to close and partner with other teams to ensure successful onboardingAchieve and exceed monthly sales goals through high activity sales effortsUnderstand the struggle of a customer and approach each conversation with a consultative approachPartner with Product and Marketing teams to ensure our solutions meet the needs of the marketUse your prior sales experience to inform a creative go-to-market strategyYou Have1+ years of experience in a closing sales roleA BA/BS degree or relevant experienceExperience or an interest in helping SMB sellersExperience exceeding sales targetsA structured thought process with the ability to assess business opportunities and read prospective buyersThe ability to gather support from internal experts and external partners to position Square against our competitorsGenuine curiosity about people, business, and can inspire passion in othersInterest in implementing feedback, and dedication to the improvement of your craftTenacity and an ability to adapt to new situations quickly and think on your feetExcellent collaboration and communication skills that help you connect with customers by email and phone - quickly establishing trust and partnership dealsThe ability to drive deals independently in a fast-paced and high volume, dynamic environmentBusiness development experience (e.g. hunting and cold calling)A collaborative and team player mentalityPrior Salesforce experience or equivalent
