Moe & Co. Gungahlin, based in Gungahlin, ACT are looking for an experienced and skilled Hairdresser.
This is a full-time role for the right person.
Job Responsibilities: Engaging with clients, understanding their preferences, style aspirations, specific requests, or concerns, including cutting, styling, colouring, and treatments.Proficiently applying various cutting techniques including precision cutting, layering, texturizing, and using over-comb techniques in accordance with diverse hair types and styles.Applying hair colour, highlights, lowlights, and other colouring techniques, ensuring consistent results with accurate colour matching.Creating tailored hairstyles for clients including blow-drying, curling, straightening, relaxing, permanently waving hair, adding hair extensions, styling hair into dreadlocks and braids, wash and blow wave, shaving heads and faces, trimming beards and moustaches, and up styling based on their preferences and occasions.Creating haircut structures including one length, solid, graduated, layered, combined traditional and classic haircut structures, finished hair designs, and classic long hair up-styles.Identifying and administering hair treatments for various types of hair, shampooing, conditioning, deep conditioning, providing basin services, curling and volumizing hair with chemical treatment, keratin treatments, and chemical treatments like perms and relaxers with protein.Identifying and providing scalp treatments for various scalp conditions, such as dandruff, dryness, oiliness, and sensitivity.Handling and applying chemical products safely, minimizing risks to clients and others by rigorously following protocols and industry standards.Providing full and partial head highlighting treatments, scalp full head and retouch bleach treatments, neutralizing unwanted colors and tones, tinting hair, selecting, and applying hair extensions.Proficiently arranging and handling hairdressing tools and equipment, including scissors, razors, clippers, brushes, combs, curling irons, hair rollers, hair clamps, hair colouring tools, hairdressing cape, and styling products.Understanding hairdressing industry information, hair care products, hair styling products, their ingredients, and their effects on different hair types and conditions.Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the salon environment, sanitizing tools and work practices.Providing salon services, advising, and guiding clients on hair care routines, products, hairstyles, and maintenance techniques to promote healthy hair between salon visits.Gathering feedback from clients, making any necessary adjustments to meet their expectations, communicating with the salon team, and ensuring clients are satisfied with the hair services.To be considered for this role you must have: AQF certificate III with two years on-job experience or certificate IV.At least two to three years of relevant experience.Salary - $74,000 - $80,000 plus super.
