We work as one to achieve our vision of being the world's most trusted, innovative, liquidity and data solutions specialist.About iSwap:iSwap is TP ICAP's award-winning electronic trading platform for OTC interest rate derivatives, providing advanced trading functionality across Dealer to Dealer and Dealer to Client markets in Interest Rate Swaps.iSwap operates low latency, high-throughput exchange technology for clients including global investment banks and inter-dealer brokers.Role Overview:Development, support, maintenance and administration of the iSwap Trading Platform and associated Infrastructure.Initially based in the Nasdaq Sydney office working with current Nasdaq employees on the iSwap system, the role will eventually be relocated to the TP ICAP Sydney office after a transition period.Role Responsibilities:Design, develop and maintain functional and non-functional enhancements to the iSwap XFE Trading UI and associated servicesProvide Production support for XFE and associated iSwap components when requiredDocument software features and functionality to educate stakeholders and ensure information traceabilityOptimise performance for speed and efficiencyDebug and troubleshoot application issuesSupport QA team by providing expertise and guidance on new features including assisting with the creation of automated test scriptsCollaborate with Software Engineers, QA Analysts and IT Professionals to ensure seamless operation of our software development infrastructureDesign and develop CI/CD pipelines for multiple software applications and environmentsIntegrate automations to improve maintenance and management procedures relating to development infrastructureDebug and troubleshoot software infrastructure issuesKeep up to date with industry trends and best practicesSupport and engage in the Nasdaq-TP ICAP migration project, providing technical support and assistance to migrate all relevant iSwap components from the Nasdaq environment to the TP ICAP environmentExperience / Competences:Proficiency in Java, JavaFX, HTML, CSS and JavascriptStrong understanding of Memory Management in JavaStrong understanding of OOP principlesStrong understanding of concurrencyKnowledge of UI design principlesExperience with issue management software such as JiraExperience with CI/CD systems such as JenkinsExperience with databases such as PostgresUnderstanding of performance optimisation strategies and techniquesProficiency in Bash and PythonExperience managing and maintaining software infrastructureUnderstand software design and development procedures and methodologiesUnderstand the fundamentals of Computer networkingExperience with managing and maintaining the followingLinux InfrastructureWindows InfrastructureJenkinsDatabase servers, e.g. PostgresAnsibleDockerVersion control systems such as GitGeneral knowledge of electronic marketplaces and trade flowsGood people skills and the ability to communicate technical issues clearly and concisely, to team members and internal and external stakeholders of all levelsMust be self-motivated, setting a high level of professionalism and excellenceFlexible and adaptable to changing prioritiesOverall, should be confident, enthusiastic and proactiveResults driven – Able to deliver good quality accurate solutions to tight time-scalesProfessional – Expect to work the hours the job demandsConscientious – Always give 100% to tasks assignedVersatile – Able to multi-taskTeam Player – Must be able to work with and participate within a large professional teamLocation: Australia - Level 27 - Castlereagh Street - Sydney
