We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Finance Leader/CFO to join our team on a part-time basis, tailored to school hours or similar, to support our continued growth and success.
The Commercial Finance Leader/CFO will manage the end-to-end accounting and financial management functions, providing critical support to the CEO and Board of Directors.
This role requires a deep understanding of the ASX setting, regulatory environment, and capital management.
The successful candidate will ensure compliance with ASX reporting requirements and contribute to strategic financial planning and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:School hours or part-time.Full oversight of finance function.Support CEO and Board.Oversee end-to-end accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with ASX and regulatory requirements.Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support the company's financial health and strategic goals.Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with financial policies and procedures.Strategic Financial Leadership:Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO and Board, supporting decision-making processes.Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize the company's performance and growth.Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring sustainable financial practices.Lead financial planning and analysis, offering insights to drive business performance.ASX Reporting & Compliance:Ensure timely and accurate reporting to the ASX, including periodic financial statements, investor presentations, and other regulatory filings.Stay abreast of changes in ASX listing rules and regulatory requirements, implementing necessary updates to maintain compliance.Liaise with auditors, regulators, and other external parties to ensure compliance and transparent financial reporting.Capital Management:Manage the company's capital structure, including equity and debt financing.Monitor capital market trends and assess opportunities for capital raising and funding.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CA qualification preferred.Proven experience in a senior finance role within an ASX-listed company.Strong understanding of ASX reporting requirements, capital management, and regulatory environment.Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end accounting and financial functions.Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.Strong leadership and communication abilities, with experience supporting senior executives and boards.Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.What We Offer:Flexible part-time hours to accommodate school schedules.Opportunity to be part of a growing and innovative biotech company.Supportive and dynamic work environment.Competitive remuneration package.How to Apply:Please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you are the ideal candidate for this role.
