How your role makes a difference You will be a Senior Project Manager who knows how to make things happen.
You will be central in a team which has been created to focus on the achievement of several defined and related outcomes (digital skills).
This role is about harnessing the capability of the team to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and on budget.
Your excellent relationship management skills will enable you to win and maintain support from key individuals in industry, government and the training sectors.
You will work closely with the Director, Digital who is focused on achieving real impact across the workforce through uplifting digital skills.
Key responsibilities you will have: Program Oversight and Leadership: Oversee all activities within the team to ensure our operational goals are achieved on time, within scope, and on budget.
Support the strategic alignment of initiatives across the different teams to achieve operational goals.
Project Management: Manage project delivery as required.
This includes planning, procurement, resource and budget management, schedule reporting and risk.
Risk and Quality Oversight: Monitor projects to ensure alignment with organisational policies and quality expectations.
Proactively address risks and resolve issues to maintain program integrity.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to gather input, align priorities, and maintain transparent communication.
Foster a collaborative environment to address organisational and programmatic needs.
Monitoring and Reporting: Develop reports, presentations, and updates for stakeholders to track progress, identify challenges, and demonstrate project impact.
Communicate key metrics and insights effectively.
Workplace Learning and VET Support: Leverage vocational education and training (VET) expertise to support the implementation of programs that enhance learning outcomes and align with industry needs.
Understand, Influence and Lead: You are the point person responsible for tracking the progress of the program of work.
In this role you need to be able to understand what has to be achieved, assess progress against plan and then identify and put in place mitigation strategies to address challenges.
Communicate: You will need to be able to communicate the program of work both verbally and in writing to our internal and external audiences.

Support Other Work: We are a small team; you need to be able to support other parts of the organisation as required.

We are a not-for-profit organisation focused on designing, trialing and scaling new ways of training to equip learners with the digital skills needed to meet a rapidly changing, technological future.
Building on our success to date, we are the Jobs and Skills Council (JSC) for the Finance, Technology and Business (FTB) Sectors where we work with employers, training providers, and governments to ensure the relevancy of skills training.

You will be flexible to take on other duties and responsibilities that may arise.

You must be curious – the work we are doing is new, has few templates – you will need to be a learner with an open mind.
Even better: Experience working with under-represented cohorts.
Experience with Asana and Hubspot.
Experience using Gen AI (Co-pilot, Chat GPT) for business functions.
