Position Overview: We are seeking a Coordinator Development Engineering to join Campbelltown City Council's dynamic planning team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice, as well as leading the Development Engineering Team.
They will play a pivotal role in promoting the successful growth of the LGA through effective engineering services for development applications and certificates.
This position requires fostering healthy relationships with stakeholders and facilitating communications within the City Development division.
We are looking for a people leader who drives engagement, with a focus on delivering a high level of customer service, as well as an unwavering commitment to engage with the community and find positive solutions for all involved for the betterment of the Campbelltown City Council LGA.
Key Duties & Responsibilities: Monitor and review relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice to ensure adherence to Council processes. Lead a team responsible for developing sustainable suburban living experiences. Provide expert engineering advice to stakeholders and enforce engineering conditions for development applications. Inspect and approve construction works to maintain quality and minimize future maintenance. Ensure incorporation of best engineering practices in Council policies and specifications. Facilitate communication and collaboration across Council divisions. Essential Criteria: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering. Working knowledge of Local Government and relevant engineering policies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software packages. Strong written communication and research skills. Leadership and teamwork abilities. Innovative problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Work Health and Safety principles. Project management experience. Class C Driver's Licence and White Card.
