But you have choice in where and how you work; we trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.What you'd be doing in this roleBuilding, optimizing, and scaling intuitive, performant frontend applications for cutting-edge Generative AI tools that empower millions of Canva users.Collaborating with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to craft user experiences that make complex AI-powered tools simple and delightful to use.Developing frameworks and reusable components to accelerate AI product development across Canva.Working closely with the AI Media team to experiment and iterate rapidly on new ideas to unlock creative possibilities for our users.Maintaining a strong focus on performance, reliability, and accessibility to ensure seamless design experiences for every user.You're probably a match ifYou're an experienced frontend engineer with 5+ years of commercial experience building rich, interactive web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).You have a passion for AI and are excited by the potential of Generative AI, wanting to contribute to tools that push the boundaries of creativity.You love a great user experience and care deeply about creating interfaces that are functional, delightful, and easy to use.You're a collaborator at heart, thriving in cross-functional teams and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.You're curious and innovative, enjoying exploring new technologies and experimenting with ideas to solve challenging problems.About the teamThe AI Media team sits within Canva's Generative AI Supergroup, focusing on redefining how users interact with media through the power of AI.
