Director of Nursing - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (527492)

The Department of Health is seeking suitably qualified applicants for a Director of Nursing - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (527492) vacancy.
Please note this position is also being advertised as an Allied Health Director - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (527492d) and only one position will be filled on merit.
Our Aim:
CYMHS Tasmania are seeking a Regional Director with extensive knowledge, expertise, and experience in child and youth mental health service delivery and management.
This position will be based in Hobart and is a Southern Tasmania-based role.
The Tasmanian Government is committed to action through the Tasmanian Mental Health Service Reforms with new initiatives to improve mental health service delivery.
You can be part of this exciting work and help build new services and capacity in Tasmania to treat children and young people with severe and complex mental illness.
This position provides operational and professional leadership across existing CAMHS programs and new programs that are being implemented.

The role will include:
Provide clinical leadership and direction in the development, management, and evaluation of all facets of the overall service, including strategic direction to continually enhance the provision of safe and quality services which meet the needs of all key stakeholders.
Facilitate the development and maintenance of active partnerships with a range of key internal and external stakeholders to optimize overall sector integration and client outcomes within CAMHS.
Provide operational and clinical support to all managers and senior clinical staff across the Southern region, and hold a statewide portfolio based on clinical background.
This position is advertised as Director of Nursing and Allied Health Director – only one position is available and will be filled based on merit.

This position is based in Hobart.
Details of Appointment: Registered Nurse, Grade 8
Permanent, full-time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.
Notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time and part-time vacancies.
Salary:
$137,387 - $159,884 per annum.
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023.
You'll have access to salary package benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full-time for three years or more, on top of the relocation allowance already available.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.
Benefits available to eligible candidates:
Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees.

Excellent leave benefits: 20 days annual leave (pro rata), 20 days personal leave (pro rata), and study assistance leave if eligible.
Fitness Passport – You and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and possess specialist tertiary graduate or post-graduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification; or completed, prior to the transfer of nurse education to the tertiary sector, an accredited hospital-based program that leads to registration as a psychiatric nurse by the relevant nurse regulatory authority within Australia, New Zealand, Canada, or the United Kingdom.
