As part of The Sussan Group – including Sussan and Suzanne Grae - we aim to make a positive difference in the lives of our customers, our people, and the planet.Our OpportunityBased in our Head Office in Cremorne, this Buying Assistant position proactively supports the product development cycle and is an integral role within the team and business.
You will be working closely and building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and will display initiative in supporting and partnering with the Buyer to improve the financial results of the business and achieve overall business objectives.
Along with your sound knowledge and experience in creating CADS, your keen fashion sense and strong administrative capabilities, you will hit the ground running across the various facets and functions of the role and team while always learning and developing in this space.
You will be assisting with the product development process, maintaining and developing effective supplier relationships and working closely with other teams and departments across the Sportsgirl brand.What your day-to-day will look likeCreate CADS for trend collectionsAdministration associated with order raising and order management and range sheetsManagement and preparation of weekly sales reports, products, merchandise rack, product analysis etc.Effective management of all samplesLiaising with Planning team on any order changes and delivery updatesCommunicate creative input and innovation for product developmentAttend fit sessions to review garment on body and prepare fit samplesDaily communication with vendor baseMaintain effective communication with all other departmentsOur ideal candidate will haveRelevant education; Design/Buying/Merchandise Diploma or Business/Commercial degreePrevious experience as a Buying Assistant in a fashion retail environment preferredA LOVE for product, and a passion to grow in this fieldDemonstrated experience and knowledge in creating CADS and using Illustrator, Indesign & PhotoshopSound knowledge and proficiency in MS SuiteExperience in managing administration tasksA proactive, collaborative and adaptable natureWhy work for Sportsgirl?We are committed to rewarding our team for the great work they do every day and are able to offer some amazing benefits including:Free Onsite parkingTeam Member product discount of 50%Discounted private health insuranceCareer Development opportunitiesGreat team referral bonusFlexible WorkingWant to learn a bit more about working with us?You will be joining a collaborative, fun and supportive team with plenty of development opportunities, all while contributing towards a strong team culture.The Sussan Group is committed to supporting an inclusive recruitment process ensuring a fair recruitment experience.
