The Principal Advisor within the Executive Director's Office is central to providing support and considered advice to our senior leaders, guiding strategic projects connecting our activities with the wider government priorities.

About the role:
In this role you will:

Drive the development and delivery of corporate and strategic services, providing high-level advice to senior management on strategic and corporate matters, including budget, resourcing, and business risk.
Participate as an active member of the management team, initiating, leading and progressing special projects as required.
Action urgent and sensitive matters on behalf of senior management, using effective leadership skills and persuasive communication to achieve critical business outcomes.
Maintain current knowledge of portfolio issues, priorities, and policies to ensure that the planning and delivery of activities are aligned and coordinated with the Government's and Department's strategic direction to maximise service delivery.
Lead implementation and coordination of planning and reporting frameworks, ensuring alignment with Department priorities.
Proactively review and implement new strategies and processes, engaging staff using appropriate change management techniques to achieve successful outcomes on behalf of senior management.
