This role will see you tasked with High Voltages project delivery mostly within the Air, Electric Power Production, Food and Beverage, Manufacturing and Mines & Quarries segments.
The Role Working within the Industrial Services Business Unit, the High Voltage Electrician will be exposed to new and exciting projects and be responsible for:
Fieldwork including installation, connection, fault diagnosis, testing, maintenance, and commissioning Operate switchgear, develop/coordinate switching programs/schedules, control permit to work operations, perform/coordinate/direct switching programs, apply access procedures to work on network infrastructure Maintain substation/switchrooms/enclosures HV cable testing Testing of earthing systems Low voltage (LV), medium voltage (MV) and high voltage (HV) switchboard maintenance including thermal imaging inspection and power correction equipment Specialist testing and maintenance of HV equipment: protection relays, circuit breakers, transformers, switchboards and RMUs, VSDs, soft starters, PFC units, harmonic filters, motors, secondary resistance motor starters, battery systems including oil testing The Person Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar role Highly motivated, organised, and flexible Positive, personable, and committed team player Good understanding of technical project life cycle Essential Qualifications Queensland Electrical Work Licence (Electrical Fitter Mechanic) Construction Industry White Card Class C Drivers Licence (QLD) Current LVR & CPR HV Switching Beneficial Qualifications Working at heights EWP High risk work licence What We Offer Joining our high performing and diverse team, you will have the opportunity to deliver major infrastructure projects across the range of segments and build relationships with the wider Actemium network.
