About the role The Market Analyst role will support the electricity, gas, and renewable trading teams with analysis and insights, and will primarily be responsible for managing the operation and development of our short-term electricity market modelling in Plexos, working closely with Electricity Trading to model participant behaviour and draw market insights.
This role will also undertake general analysis across the electricity, gas, and renewable energy wholesale markets to support trading decision-making and strategic regulatory and policy decisions, utilising publicly available data regarding the wholesale energy and renewable markets.
About you Demonstrated analytical or commercial experience in the energy sectorKnowledge of electricity and gas wholesale marketsExperience in operating complex modelling applications and handling large data setsExperience in using Plexos would be highly desirableStrong skills in Tableau, SQL, VBA, and ExcelProven solving capability, conceptual thinker, and ability to communicate findings clearlyExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, having the ability to speak to both technical and non-technical stakeholder groupsIf you share our passion for a clean energy future for all and want to join us #Doing.
