We have grown from humble roots into one of the world's largest and most efficient grain supply chains, delivering millions of tonnes of quality Western Australian grain into the hands of customers around the world each year.
Our storage and handling system currently receives and exports around 90 per cent of the Western Australian grain harvest and is regarded as one of the best in the world.
We in-load via our own in-house design screw conveyor pits, bucket elevators, ground conveyors, trippers, and stackers into multiple storage types.
We strive to continually improve our equipment from site feedback, and we have a strong pipeline of work that focuses on out-loading with multiple new rail loading facilities and expansions of our existing receival sites.
Our core purpose is to sustainably create and return value to current and future West Australian grain growers.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our Network Planning team, within our Operations Division on a full-time, permanent basis as a Data Scientist.
This role will commence in February 2025. This role responsible for contributing to the Analysis and Modelling portfolio in the Network Planning team, developing and implementing decision support tools to be used across Operations.
Reporting to the Principal - Analytics & Modelling and working closely with operational personnel in head office and regional areas, the key deliverables for the role are: Contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality and methodologies for key operational metrics (KPIs) which measure supply performance
Contribute to furthering knowledge about data driven insights, advanced analytics and potential value adding projects across the Operations department
Work with internal stakeholders to develop solutions based on complex and challenging ideas/problems
Develop algorithmic models to provide analytical decision-making tools
Improve the data sourcing and automation of internal and external data sets using ETL principles; and
Utilise and continually develop best practice principles in data analytics
What you will bring to the role: Relevant tertiary degree in computer science, data science, data analytics environmental science, agricultural science, or associated discipline
Minimum of 3 year's experience in a quantitative and/or data analytical role
Strong experience with quantitative modelling
Strong Python programming experience
Understanding of machine learning algorithm and best practices
Experience with a Python based web app framework (Flask, Django, Dash etc.)
Strong understanding of data ETL principles and data management including SQL/PostgreSQL
Experience with Azure DevOps
Experience working with a Business Intelligence platform (Power BI/ Tableau etc.)
Understanding of machine learning algorithms and best practices
Experience working with agricultural and/or supply chain data for advanced analytics applications.
Experience with linear programming and discrete event simulation
