About the role The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) is currently seeking a Head of Communication to develop and deliver the University's communication strategy and manage the University's reputation through internal and external communications.
This influential senior role works closely with the University's executive leadership team under broader direction from the Chief Marketing and Communication Officer.
About you As an empathic leader and influential communicator, you will excel at building relationships and fostering collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
You will have expertise in issues communication and be able to confidently provide specialist advice to executive leaders and academics.
This role requires an exceptional strategist with a proven track record in developing and executing plans that enhance the reputation of large, complex public institutions.
You will have a deep knowledge of the Australian tertiary education sector, a good understanding of the Australian media landscape, and well-established media networks.
Your ability to develop and deliver strategic external and internal communication plans will help build the University's brand and position the institution for transformational change.
To get the most out of this role, you will also have: Tertiary qualifications in Communication or related discipline A demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team Ability to apply an audience-centric approach to communication to achieve impactful outcomes.

Remuneration A competitive base salary will be offered to the chosen candidate.
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.
This role will be offered on a full-time continuing basis.
