Experienced Civil/Environmental EngineerABOUT US We are looking for a talented engineer to join our team who shares our passion for excellent urban and environmental design.
The position will suit an engineer looking to take the next step in their career, who enjoys working in a small, multi-disciplinary team and is interested in working on a wide range of leading green infrastructure design projects.
Expertise in Civil 3D modelling will be highly regarded.

We have an integrated team of landscape architects, environmental scientists, and civil/environmental engineers, and our design projects are focused on public open space and urban environmental issues.
You will be joining a small, supportive team, where we are passionate about our work, always learning and exploring new ideas, while delivering quality outcomes to our government and private sector clients.
ABOUT THE JOB The civil/environmental engineer role will include:
Engineering analysis, surface modelling, detailed design, preparation of drawings, specifications and reports, field/site inspections.Working as part of a dedicated and collaborative office-based team to deliver a variety of design projects from initial conception through to final detailing.Work towards project management responsibilities including liaison with the client and other consultants, subcontractor management, preparing proposals and invoicing.Maintain an industry awareness, work towards becoming a chartered professional engineer.Projects are likely to include civil design, drainage, active transport, urban ecology, civil engineering for public open space upgrades and related work.
This could include stormwater drainage design (with treatment systems such as bioretention/swales/wetlands), waterways, pedestrian/cycle paths and roads, and surface design for regrading/earthworks.
The role is focused on our engineering design projects, however in a small, dynamic team there will be opportunities to apply your skills to other projects, and sometimes a need to apply your skills where they are needed most.
If your interests are aligned with our business and you can work adaptively, this will be an advantage.
The role is based in Chippendale.
ABOUT YOU You should be keen to work on a variety of projects with a broad focus on high-quality design with sustainability, community, and environmental outcomes.
You will also have:
Bachelor of engineering (civil or environmental) with honours.At least 2 years' work experience in professional engineering design services, in civil/urban design, stormwater drainage/treatment, or similar.Interest in green infrastructure, creative and high-quality urban design.Applied software skills in AutoCAD/Civil3D, GIS, modelling, MS Office.Attention to detail and be keen to do design work including drawing production, technical analysis/modelling and written work.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Organised, able to work to budgets and meet deadlines.Driver's license.Note that engineers with more experience are also encouraged to apply.
Salary will be dependent on experience and commensurate with market rates.
