About the RoleAs an ION MarketView Platform Specialist, you will be part of Fixed Income eTrading (eFI) team within Markets Technology Area, under Institutional Technology Domain.
Our team is delivering, as part of our eFICC program, the best in-class services for our Fixed Income business to improve our customers' experience through automated solutions.

Role Type: PermanentRole Location: SydneyWork Hours: Full-time (Hybrid)What will your day look like?We are looking for a hands-on ION MarketView Platform Specialist to join our Fixed Income eTrade team in Sydney.
The team consists of about 25 electronic trading specialists and Java developers that are distributed across Sydney, Singapore, and Bengaluru.
They are responsible for pricing and electronic trading on D2C and D2D markets, for the Rates and Credit businesses.
Hands-on configuration, integration and testing of ION eTrading components.Platform re-engineering to provide a stable and maintainable platform for the business.Direct engagement with business stakeholders in Trading, Sales and eFICC teams.Implement changes and upgrades to the ION MarketView pricing and eTrading platform.Coordinate & organise changes with external vendors, markets, ECNs, and infrastructure teams.ION topology tuning to create and maintain a high-performance platform.Writing documentation, user guides, regular demos.Performing user acceptance testing with various groups during project go-live.Ability to run projects end to end without monitoring.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Excellent understanding of fixed income products such as bonds and swaps pricing as well as yield curve construction.Hands-on experience with bonds and swaps electronic trading, including platforms like Bloomberg, Tradeweb and YieldBroker.Strong hands-on experience of ION MarketView.
Detailed knowledge of MMI .NET, D2C & D2D Connectivity Gateways, TOMS, PXE, REFDATA, VMQ, Run List Manager.Experience of platform re-engineering, tuning and ION failover setup.Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to effectively interact closely with business stakeholders, including traders and quants.Excellent troubleshooting skills in a complex trading environment including pricing and trade capture issues.Strong Linux experience including Shell Scripting and Python Scripting.Constantly challenging and seeking ways to improve platform consistency and maintainability.Automate/build tools to industrialize management of a world-class e-trading platform.Development of Fixed Income electronic trading systems, ideally in Java.Building high throughput low latency Java software including performance tuning and optimisation to achieve microsecond latencies.A self-starter that enjoys a challenge and working in an agile environment.Agile mindset and a strong desire to deliver on the mission and goals of the business.Experience of working across multiple time zones and locations.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
