About this Position: We have an exciting opportunity for multiple Construction Workers to join our Roads department.
The primary function of the Construction Worker role is to assist in road construction and maintenance by performing a range of skilled manual tasks, operating small plant and equipment, and handling various types of rollers.
This role is critical in building and maintaining the infrastructure that connects communities.
What we can offer you: Attractive wages and conditionsTraining and development opportunitiesEmployee Assistance and Health & Wellbeing ProgramsWhat we trust you to deliver: Perform skilled manual tasks, including concreting, pipe laying, and road maintenanceSafely operate small plant, rollers, and medium rigid vehicles to support construction activitiesSet up and manage traffic control around worksites to ensure safety and efficiencyFollow Work Health and Safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environmentUse Council systems to manage tasks and updates effectivelyWhat you will need to be successful: Cert III in Civil Construction or relevant experienceTraffic Controller Ticket (TCR), White Card, Current Class Light Rigid Driver's LicenceBe accepting of new ideas and embrace changeStrong teamwork, communication, and customer service skillsFlexible and adaptable with a drive for improvement and learningA passion for Lismore and personal values that align with our missionSalary: Attractive wages and conditions, including a 76-hour fortnight with an RDO, plus on-call and overtime opportunities
