Salary range:$100,000 to 150,000 + Superannuation Full time About the Role: We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior SMSF Accountant to join our team.
As a Senior SMSF Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all aspects of SMSF administration, compliance, and reporting.
This position requires strong technical expertise in SMSF accounting and tax legislation.

Key Responsibilities: Set up Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs), ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and supporting clients in achieving their retirement goals.
Manage a portfolio of complex SMSFs specializing in real estate property investments.
Perform all aspects of the SMSF lifecycle, including fund establishment, ongoing administration, annual audit preparation, and taxation.
Prepare and lodge annual financial statements, tax returns, and other required compliance documents.
Analyse financial data and provide clients with clear and concise reports on their SMSF performance.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between property strategists and brokers to ensure client objectives and smooth workflow alignment.
Liaise with clients, investment advisors, and other stakeholders to address inquiries, explain complex financial concepts, and gather necessary information.
Stay up-to-date with the latest legislative and regulatory changes affecting SMSFs, particularly those related to real estate investments.
Proactively identify and address potential compliance risks and opportunities for clients.
Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient processes and procedures for SMSF administration.
Maintain strong relationships with clients and build trust through excellent communication and service.
Qualifications: CPA qualification or equivalent accounting qualification.
Minimum 5 years of experience working with SMSFs, with a specialization in real estate property investments.
Strong understanding of Australian tax laws and regulations relating to SMSFs and real estate.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality work with accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and explain complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and SMSF administration software.
