Registered / Enrolled Nurse / Anaesthetic Technician - Anaesthetics Sydney Southwest Private Hospital Multiple Full-time positions, Part time and Casual Opportunities available
Sydney Southwest Private Hospital is seeking dynamic and enthusiastic nurses to join our team of passionate professionals to drive Healthscope's high standard of patient care.
To succeed in this role, you will have the flexibility to work early or late shifts with on-call components.
In this role, you will work as an integral member of our team and ensure safe surgical outcomes are achieved, in line with core values and strategic direction of the department, Hospital and Healthscope Health Care.
As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include: Deliver evidence-based nursing careLiaise with the multi-disciplinary teamEnsure patient and staff safetySupervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient careDeliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end-of-life needsProviding technical and clinical support to the Anaesthetist during induction, maintenance and emergence from anaesthesiaResponding to unexpected outcomes and using problem-solving skills to respond to emergencies in the Perioperative departmentCompliance with all legislative requirements in the workplace including occupational safety and health acts and workers' compensationStrong skill setExceptional communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detailA minimum of 1-year acute hospital experienceDiploma of Anaesthetic Technology (or similar) qualification as an Anaesthetic Nurse or TechnicianEssential Criteria: Current Registration with AHPRAPost Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards)Working with Children check (if relevant)Commitment to Quality Patient CareCompliance with ACQSHC National standardsSound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsWorks well independently and within a teamBasic computer skillsApplications close: Friday 24 January 2025 For further enquiries: Sane Mahla (POSM) on 96004199 or
