Our model brings together pediatricians, psychiatrists, and allied health professionals to provide comprehensive, collaborative care for young clients and their families.We are seeking passionate and dedicated Speech Pathologists to join our East Melbourne clinic.
This role is unique compared to many private practices, as clinical governance is held within our specialist team, curated with pediatricians and psychiatrists.
You will not be responsible for clinical governance, which allows you to focus on a versatile role.As a registered Speech Pathologist at Nexia Healthcare, your key responsibilities include:Speech, language and communication assessment:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders.Family Support:
Guide and coach families/caregivers in supporting their child's listening and spoken language development.Collaboration and coordination:
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Early Childhood Education Specialists, Occupational therapists, Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants, and Child and Family Counsellors to provide an integrated approach to each individual and their family's goals around speech, language and communication development.
Participate in case conferences and team meetings to discuss progress and outcomes.Diagnostic Formulation and Reporting:
Provide assistance with formal diagnosis of underlying speech, language, literacy, or swallowing difficulties and deliver high-quality reports based on your assessment as required.Evidence-based practice:
Provide evidence-based speech therapy interventions and strategies, including tailored intervention plans, communication strategies, and augmentative or alternative communication devices.
Monitor and evaluate the child's progress through formal and informal assessments.Compliance and Ethics:

Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Visa holder with full working rights.
