We are seeking to appoint an Academic Manager (IT and Engineering Courses) who will be responsible for all operational aspects of the academic delivery and quality assurance of the IT courses offered at the Sydney Campus.
They will play a critical role in delivering a high-quality and engaging student experience.
As a key member of the team, you will have the rewarding opportunity to progress your career within the education industry.
We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the partnership and is self-motivated and an enthusiastic go-getter.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure that the delivery of all IT and Engineering courses at the Sydney campus meets or exceeds the requirements and standards of UTASDevelop and maintain a positive working relationship with all stakeholders to ensure that academic delivery requirements are resourced and metAdvise the Academic Director on the continuous improvement of delivery, student experience and campus operationsTeach one or more subjects in the suite of IT and Engineering courses offered in SydneyConduct student consultation and academic counselling for students who require additional supportImplement early intervention strategies in collaboration with Learning Support Coordinators for students-at-risk and monitor their progress according to UTAS' Policies and ProceduresMaintain currency in the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) and that of the incumbent's discipline by undertaking scholarly work and professional developmentAs the successful candidate, you will ideally have: A PhD in a relevant discipline3+ years' experience in higher education teachingExperience in subject or course coordination/managementDemonstrated track record in supporting the success of international studentsKnowledge of the Higher Education Standards Framework and the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas StudentsSuperior stakeholder management and student engagement skillsGraduate Certificate or above in learning and teaching or tertiary educationExperience in higher education quality assuranceExperience with third-party course deliveryExperience in working with geographically dispersed teamsIn return we will offer you: A supportive team environmentEnergetic culture that inspires and supports excellenceWork/life balanceExpanding network of contactsEEO Statement At ECA, our organisational values include 'Equal opportunity and Social inclusion' and we strive to be a place where everyone can thrive.
