Specialist Clinician Position

Job Title: Specialist ClinicianWe are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Clinician to join our team at Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality Infectious Diseases and General Medicine specialist care through participation in inpatients, outpatients, and Hospital in the Home clinical services.
About the RoleThis is a fixed-term position for 8 months in Darwin, NT.
The Specialist Clinician will be responsible for:
Providing specialist care to patients with Infectious Diseases and General Medicine conditionsSupervising and teaching junior staffParticipating in continuous quality improvement activitiesActive involvement in departmental professional development opportunitiesSupporting the Anti-microbial stewardship (AMS) program for Royal Darwin and Palmerston HospitalEssential QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
Eligibility for specialist medical registration with the Medical Board of AustraliaAppropriate specialist qualifications, including Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, or equivalentSubspecialty training in Infectious DiseasesCommitment to ensuring equity of access to quality healthcare and improving health outcomes, particularly for Indigenous AustraliansExcellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsDemonstrated commitment to continuing education, teaching, research, quality improvement, and evidence-based practiceHow to ApplyTo apply for this position, please submit a 1-page summary sheet, resume/CV, and copies of relevant qualifications.
