As a member of the Catering team, you will be preparing meals for our residents and managing an established team of catering assistants. This role includes overseeing the effective meal service to our aged care residents, as well as providing best practice service in kitchen cleanliness, documentation, and food preparation.
About the Role: Preparing fresh and nutritious meals for residents online with their dietary needsManaging all resources within the kitchen including equipment and food supplies within your approved budgetMaintaining a hygienically clean kitchen that is fully compliant with the Aged Care quality standardsTo be successful in this role you'll need: A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high-quality care to the elderlyComfortable interacting with a wide variety of peopleA reliable team playerCertificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)Basic Food Safety Practices CertificateGood understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness, and hygieneUnderstanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) preferredTo be able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervisionAble to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their familiesNDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtainWhat we can offer you: Competitive hourly pay rateFitness Passport gym benefitPaid parental leaveLong service leave after 5 yearsAdditional week of leave for Enterprise Agreement shift workers40+ Locations across NSW and QLD if you decide to moveA values-based organisation that welcomes applicants from all faiths and backgroundsWe know you have many choices of employer - choose Catholic Healthcare where you can make a positive impact and be well rewarded.
