Team Leader – Drive Excellence at Sulzer's Cardiff Service Centre

Join us as a Team Leader at our Cardiff Service Centre and play a pivotal role in the repair and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment.

This full-time, permanent role combines 80% hands-on expertise in electrical machine repair with 20% supervisory responsibilities, ensuring the quality, safety, and efficiency of our operations.

Your Key Responsibilities
As a Team Leader, you'll:
? Mentor and supervise tradespeople and apprentices, fostering a culture of development and safety.
Inspect, repair, and overhaul High, Medium, and Low Voltage electric motors and rotating equipment.
? Assemble, disassemble, and perform balancing on motors and generators.
Conduct onsite repairs of electrical rotating equipment.
Ensure outgoing jobs meet safety and quality standards through thorough inspections.
Compile job reports and update work instructions and safety analyses.
Collaborate with the workshop team to schedule jobs and allocate resources effectively.
Step into the Workshop Supervisor role as needed.
What You'll Bring
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
Education : A trade qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Electrical Licence is a bonus).
Experience : Demonstrated expertise in repairing and rewinding electrical motors and generators.
Skills : Exceptional attention to detail, communication, and time management.
