Full time role.Monday to Friday, corporate hours – no weekends
Based in Pyrmont SydRestaurant Associates is about food that delivers on originality, quality, and taste.
Carefully crafted menus enhance our events, with every dish brought to life by our culinary teams and inspired by a food philosophy built on sustainability, seasonality, and ethically sourced produce.The position:Take charge of culinary services, creating innovative menus for both café and corporate events.Ensure adherence to food safety standards (HAACP) and maintain high hygiene protocols in the kitchen.Champion the use of local, seasonal, and plant-forward ingredients, working with vendors for sustainable sourcing.Lead and inspire a team of junior chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.Build strong relationships with clients and vendors to ensure a consistent supply of top-quality ingredients.Drive cost efficiency, reduce waste, and collaborate with front-of-house teams for seamless service delivery.The Person:Minimum 5 years of senior culinary experience, particularly in a café-style environment.Passionate about staying ahead of evolving food trends within the café scene.Deep knowledge of food safety protocols (HAACP) and hygiene standards.Committed to sustainability and the use of locally sourced ingredients.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Proficient in menu planning, development, and cost management.Chef's Trade Qualifications.Attributes:Proactive, creative, and solution-oriented with a positive leadership style.Adaptable and open to feedback in a fast-paced environment.Benefits:Paid parental leave.Multiple salary packaging options to help your dollar go further.Clear career paths and support to achieve your goals.Personal and site-based recognition programs.Immediate access to 100+ retail discounts accessible from your mobile.We are committed to providing a recruitment process that is fair, equitable, and accessible for all.
